What is Inside Out Recovery?

Inside Out Recovery is a Christ-centered transitional housing facility for people in recovery who have already completed an inpatient drug or alcohol rehabilitation program or has been released from prison.

How much does it cost?

Our fees for recovery support services are $100.00 per week.

What if I don’t have a job to pay my $100.00 weekly support fee?

While you are seeking employment or attending classes, then you may work at the ministry center ten hours per week instead of the $100.00 resident fee.  Your daily chores do not count towards these ten hours.

Will Inside Out Recovery provide me with food, clothing, and personal hygiene care when I am released from prison?

Yes, all necessities are provided. We understand that most men coming from prison will have only the clothes they are wearing.  All meals are provided at the ministry center as well.

Is Inside Out Recovery all about making money from prisoners? ers?

No, Inside Out Recovery is a 501(c)3 Not-for-profit corporation funded by private donations by individuals who believe in the power of a second chance.  The purpose of the one hundred dollar support service fee is to help each resident transition back into society by learning financial responsibility and learn how to fully support themselves.

Do you accept sex offenders?

No, if you are required to register with the Sex Offender Registry or the Violent Crimes Offender Registry, you would not be accepted as a resident. You can, however, attend our weekly meetings for your recovery support.

Is Inside Out Recovery like a prison environment?

No, Inside Out Recovery’s Ministry Center resides in a former nursing home sitting on four and a half acres in a residential area of town. We strive to maintain a home-like setting in a positive Christian atmosphere.

Do you provide services for mental health issues?

No,  Inside Out Recovery is not a medical facility.  We do not offer detox services or mental health support services.

Can my family come and visit me while I’m residing at the ministry center?

Yes, strengthening family ties is one of the goals of our program.

How many residents can you house?

We currently have space available for 16 residents with two residents per room.  Future renovations of our facility will allow us to accommodate 80 residents.

Is Inside Out Recovery for Christians only?

No, Inside Out Recovery is for anyone with a strong desire to change their life for the better.  We do employ Christian principles and sound biblical instruction in a Christ-centered atmosphere. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. And since Christ has commissioned His people, the church, to go into all the world to disciple, to baptize, and to teach everyone everywhere to obey His Word, we desire, by His grace, to play our part in reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Do you accept women?

No, Inside Out Recovery is for men only who are eighteen years old or older.

Can I come to Inside Out Recovery if the court has placed me on house arrest?

Yes, Clay County Community Corrections has approved Inside Out Recovery for House Arrest.

Can I work while staying at Inside Out Recovery?

Yes. As a resident, you are expected to seek and maintain full-time employment.  The only exception to full-time employment is when you are enrolled in full-time College, Technical School, or Vocational Training. If you are attending classes part-time, then you are expected to seek part-time employment.
